I have finished with my ‘bucket’ bath and now I am ready for the day. Bucket baths are unusual for most Westerns but it is something I am accustomed to since it is standard practice at the LOT Home in Relli as well as most of the people living in the hill district. A bucket bath consists of a large bucket of warm water, hopefully warm, and a large plastic measuring cup with a handle. You fill the measuring cup with water and pour it on your body for moisture. Next you take a bar of soap and lather up, after which you pour more water on your body to rinse. Baths are taken in a bathroom with a tiled floor with a large drain in the corner of the room. The final step is to take a long-handled squeegee and push the bath water on the floor to the drain. Voila! That was refreshing!
