Vivek Sharma was one of the first sponsored students at St. Devi’s Academy. He was just a small boy who came from an abusive and destitute background. His family was so poor that many days there was not adequate food or warm clothes. Fortunately Vivek was brought to St. Devi’s, where he lived and studied until graduation. From there Vikek traveled to India to study at Spicer Memorial College. He recently graduated with honors from SMC after which he entered an international competition implemented by the Turkish government. We are proud to announce that Vivek was selected for this prestigious scholarship which will enable him to earn a master’s degree at a university in Turkey! Vivek is having some problems obtaining a visa, so please keep him in your prayers.
