In our mailbox this morning was a brown envelope with a pretty forget-me-not stamp in the corner. The envelope contained a most generous donation and a note with this message: God’s timing is perfect as always. All contributions to our little ministry are precious and valuable, but these funds are special for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, this contribution was a direct answer to prayer! Let me explain. Just last week I was having a mini ‘crisis of faith’. (Maybe slightly larger than mini, truth be told.) I prayed, asking God to send money for Malawi. You see, not everyone has a heart for Africa. About 30 minutes later my phone rang. Immediately I heard the most jolly, smiling voice I had heard in a long while! The voice belonged to a beautiful young woman that was my neighbor for many years and now she along with her little family live in the wilds of Nebraska. This woman and her husband sponsor one of our children but on that particular day, she told me how they had been putting aside money knowing it would go towards God’s work but they were unsure as to where they would send it. That very morning God impressed them to send it to TWAM! This lovely woman has an enormous heart for God’s work and spent time in her youth working on the Mercy Ships in Africa, and in fact, she left a bit of her heart there. Supporting God’s precious children in Africa is very dear to her! Not only did God speedily answer my prayers, I also had an uplifting phone call that left me smiling for the rest of the day! Praise God that His timing is indeed always perfect!!
