Just outside the compound walls at St. Devi’s Academy is a small river. It has been filthy and putrid since before we purchased our land so many years ago. Fortunately a big change is on the way. A brand new sewer system is being constructed so access into our compound is temporarily obstructed, but that’s not a problem because the benefits far outweigh the present inconvenience! After the sewer line is completed the river will be dredged – clean for the first time! Along with this huge project, St. Devi’s is required to bring it’s sewers up to date, to the new standard/code. What that means is the old, narrow, clay sewer lines to all the toilets have to be dug up and replaced with larger PVC pipes. Though this job is compulsory and needed, it’s also expensive, costing thousands of US dollars. If you’d like to help us with this unexpected expense, we’d be grateful. Thanks!!
