Yesterday was the 7 week anniversary of the Nepal earthquake.  People are still scrambling to put their lives back together.  Today Newsweek states: “Earthquake-battered Nepal will ask international donors to support a reconstruction plan that is expected to cost over $6.6 billion over five years, the government said on Saturday.

Two quakes on April 25 and May 12 killed 8,787 people and destroyed more than 500,000 homes, affecting 2.8 million of the Himalayan nation’s 28 million people.

Losses to economy from Nepal’s worst disaster on record stands at $7 billion, including tourism, the government said.”

At St. Devi’s the construction continues.  Getting water back into the facility is compulsory.  Though we’ve been blessed with donations towards the reconstruction we still do not have enough to cover all costs.  The work is being done on a payment plan and being in debt is not what we want or need at this time.  All donations are 100% tax deductible.  We sincerely appreciate your help!!
