My little 5 year old granddaughter found an old flip phone in the drawer of my desk. She’s fascinated with the phone. It’s just her size and there are real buttons to push! After ‘pretend talking’ to her friends she looked at me and said, “You are lucky to have this phone.” That comment gave me a bit of a jolt because it was so wise. That old phone means nothing to me but to her it’s intriguing and special. Isn’t it all in one’s perspective?
This past month was the ‘leanest’ we’ve had in 15 years in regards to contributions. I will admit the staff is concerned and disheartened. We have a lot of mouths to feed so lack of funding is taken very seriously, and yet, perhaps we need a new perspective. Worry can be paramount in our thoughts or we can remember what it says in Psalms 16:8. “I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Please keep TWAM in your prayers.
