Jonathan, the administrator of the LOT Home in Relli, India, nestled in the mountains just east of Nepal reports: We experienced an earthquake measuring 7.9 on the rector scale. It was really frightening and a scary time for all of us. We were indoors and it was 4 minutes to mid-day. When it started we scattered out of the building and then faced a series of shakes one after another. We heard people crying loudly in the streets. We heard an enormous sound, like banging, below the earth. We felt as if we were in a boat sailing in the stormy sea. Some people felt giddy and even nauseous. We spent many days outdoors and even some nights. Some of our children have colds and coughs but we felt great relief that we are all fine.
