I find it so easy to take my problems and heave them onto my shoulders. Oftentimes I think I’ve given my troubles to God, I’ve even told Him to take them, and yet I walk around with stooped shoulders and hunched back from carrying the load of them. The Bible clearly states that we are supposed to ‘cast our cares’ on God but yet, it’s easier said then done. TWAM has hundreds of children to feed each month. If we come up short of what it takes to feed and care for those children, the weight of it can nearly crush me. I know in my heart, mind and soul that this isn’t God’s way. I believe that stress, burdens and worry are all gentle ways of saying the truth – fear; and face it, fear is the antithesis of faith. And doesn’t fear place us on the threshold of disobedience to our God? We know that fear is not from God. It is one of Satan’s primary tactics for crippling us. God knows we have fear but He doesn’t expect to dwell on it, to choose it. Prayer is the difference maker that will replace our fear with the assurance and confidence that can only come from God!

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:17
