We are leaving on a trip this week so we’ve spent about 8 hours sorting through donated children’s clothes, trying to figure out what to take. With the change in baggage allowance for flights it was necessary to single out the most important items and leave the rest behind. For international flights we’ve always been allowed two-free-70-pound checked bags. Now it’s one-50-pound bag. This new policy obviously means we can no longer take much with us for the project. The participants of the trip are required to pack their personal items in a carry-on bag only. Even so, we are grateful for whatever space we can use to carry needed items to the children. They are always thankful!!
