Devi reports from Nepal: On Tuesday they had a rumble measuring 4.2 and yesterday at 10 a.m. there was a strong jolt measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale. All students dashed from the classrooms in quick order. No damage to our facility.
Lucy reports from Malawi: We are thrilled to be moving forward with the work in Malawi. Unfortunately there were 2 incidents this year that set us back. One was a violent storm with fierce winds that damaged the roof and the other was vandalism to our septic tank. The roofers have replaced the iron sheets and have sealed them. The plumbers are currently working on the septic tank repair. Praise the Lord!
We have ‘stocked up’ on food for the ‘feeding program’ and purchased maize to be planted because the rainy season is upon them. God has also blessed us with a donation from a man named Lakhan. He donated 3 – 50 kg bags of grit rice (rice that is ground fine to make phala) and 1 – 50 kg bag of beans. Heartfelt thanks for those who have made this possible! 🙂
