I borrow an anonymous quote to show respect to our devoted army for their relentless efforts at this hour of catastrophe, and to God for His amazing protection. The quote goes: “God and a soldier all people adore in time of war, but not before; and when war is over and all things are righted, God is neglected and an old soldier is slighted.” Do replace ‘war’ with current ‘quake’ in this quote, and please let’s not make a mistake by forgetting the whole hearted response from our army to the people suffering from the devastating quake that left over 8,000 people dead and over 14,000 wounded. Indeed, our Nepali army has proved to be a true friend to the society in times of emergency so I salute them. I also give thanks to almighty God who kept so many from destruction and death including us here at St. Devi’s Academy.
Pray for Nepal. Now we need light in darkness so we need to pray for our country.
