Yesterday I had to appear in court for a parking ticket, actually two parking tickets. The parking around the TWAM office has a 2 hour limit. Recently I received a ticket for allegedly parking over the 2 hour limit. Prior to parking that day, I had been to the post office and my receipt indicated the time I made a transaction. Since the receipt shows when I was at the post office, it’s easy to calculate that I did not exceed the 2 hour limit. The very next day I received a ticket after parking only 20 minutes, yes, in a 2 hour zone! I was furious! I had just come from a doctor’s visit before parking and again, I had a receipt to prove my whereabouts. Though I had to appear in court yesterday it was merely to tell me I have to stand trial on July 13. Many people have told me that it’s impossible to win in a battle over parking tickets. I sincerely hope that is not true because that would mean there is no justice! I am praying for God’s intervention in this situation!!
The attached picture is what the TWAM office looked like this morning. The roofing contractor draped everything with plastic because of rain this morning and more predicted this week.
