Airports can be fun to explore even when long-haul travel becomes boring & tiring. We’ve traveled 12,319 miles and traversed 3 airports in the past few days. Chicago O’Hare is a busy airport but easy to navigate. When looking for food other than ‘fast food’ we found Wolfgang Puck’s quite enjoyable. If you happen to want something to snack, Chicago’s famous Garrrett’s Popcorn is located in Terminal 3, the international terminal. Garrett’s has been around since 1949. If you are a popcorn fan you won’t want to miss it!
If you happen to have a long layover while in the Munich International Airport, (located in Germany) try NapCabs. These miniscule sleeping rooms are clean and convenient. Run your credit card in the provided location outside the ‘cab’ and for 15 euro an hour, one can get some rest and quiet from the milling crowd.
The New Delhi Airport in India used to be a nightmare with its filth and disorganization. In 2010 a state-of-the art international airport was opened much to a travelers delight! In 2013 a Starbucks was installed, insuring tourists from the West feel right at home! So for Starbuck fans touring India, there are currently 75 Starbuck stores in 7 Indian cities.
